We promised you, Friday will be mostly old school punk/hardcore and what could be better than the most famous French punk band as headliner? TAGADA JONES hadn’t been to the DRF since 2021. They’re finally back with a beautiful Belgian exclusive for their 30th anniversary, thanks to them.

This afternoon’s confirmation is exceptional, we are very happy to welcome for the first time at the DRF Vegard Sverre Tveitan, better known by his stage name Ihsahn, a brilliant Norwegian musician, emblematic figure of the black metal scene, he is the founder, singer, main guitarist and keyboardist of the band Emperor, recognized as a figure of black metal in the 1990s and still active today. Ihsahn will be the headliner of the festival with Eluveitie.

Today’s announcement is about another band that has already been to the DRF… but that was in 2003. The grumpy ones will still say that we always take the same bands, but if they are good, why not.

Nervous Chillin’ is back and we are proud to have a band from the Province of Luxembourg of such a level ! Welcome to the “street punks” of Habay.

We continue with the confirmations and we come to DESTINITY, a melodic death metal group, originally from Lyon, formed in 1996. Because DRF without death metal would no longer really be DRF!

A new confirmation and in addition to the 3 winners of the springboards, there will be several groups from our Wallonia-Brussels Federation, it is part of our mission to highlight them, and in particular Do Or Die who is making a big comeback and will play in the evening on the outdoor stage. Here is already our main headliner for this 28th edition, a favorite band of the DRF who has already come a few times (the last one in September 2021, just after the covid), and always with huge success, one of the best folk/metal bands in the world, thanks to Eluveitie for granting us this beautiful Belgian exclusivity this spring!

We’re finally coming back to old school punk and hardcore on Friday and one of our 2 headliners has never been to Durbuy Rock, the Belgian-Americans Pro-Pain, living legends of NYC hardcore, we’re already looking forward to it !

 

First confirmation for this 28th edition of Durbuy Rock, and not the least, we are proud to welcome for the first time the inventors of German medieval folk rock (they have existed since 1989!) CORVUS CORAX who will come to grace us with their metal show “Era Metallum”, as recently at Wacken, Hellfest or Summer Breeze. And we know that the Germans know their stuff when it comes to shows.

KK’s Priest is made up of former Judas Priest members K.K. Downing (guitar), Tim “Ripper” Owens (vocals, also ex-Iced Earth) and Les Binks (drums), joined by guitarist A.J. Mills (Hostile) and bassist Tony Newton (Voodoo Six).

 

KK’s Priest, which pays homage to the legacy of K.K. Downing, will perform this concert to mark the 50th anniversary of Judas Priest and K.K.’s career as a founding member of this legendary heavy metal band. The KK’s Priest setlist will therefore be composed of Judas Priest classics and new songs from the 2 original KK’s Priest albums. It promises an exceptional end to the festival!
